The following film has been modified from its original version. It has been formatted to fit this screen, to run in the time allotted and edited for content.

The Harper Chronicles. Volume 1: I Have Hands

Our little peanut is growing up. And fast. All the better reason to learn some new photo/cimema skills and document Harper’s evolution into a little person.

I introduce The Harper Chronicles.

This first clip is my initial foray into iMovie, and is little more than a clip of Harper doing her thing, with a title bolted to the front of it. For capturing the scene, I used a 5d Mark II — Canon’s full-frame super camera that can take 21 megapixel stills and full 1920 pixel, 30 fps HD video — then down-sized it to a more web-friendly size. The original file quality is stunning, even if the scene isn’t the most compelling (yet).

Over time, these shorts should have more interesting content, and better production values. For now, they’re little clips of Harper doing her thing. Enjoy!

What happens when you combine a hungry little kiddo with a warm bottle and snuggly pyjamas? Asked and answered.

Harper and Abbey’s first bender

Apparently newborns’ tolerance is kinda low…two sips of Sierra Celebration, and they’re out like lights. ;)

A quick road trip to Tastytown, USA

A leftover challah loaf in the fridge called out for being sliced rather thick, soaked in custard, sprinkled with cinnamon, and cooked in buttery splendor.

Luckily, I heeded the call. Happy Brunching!
